Claudia Lopez is a Cuban-American singer-songwriter, producer, pianist, and educator born and raised in Miami, Florida. Music has been woven into her life from the very beginning. Raised in a family of musicians, Claudia was inspired by her father, a composer and musician, and her grandmother, a classical pianist. She discovered her passion for songwriting at an extraordinarily young age, writing her first song before she could even write words on paper. Drawn naturally to the piano and guitar, she quickly found that music was not simply a talent, but her life's calling.

 

In 2009, Claudia was awarded a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. She later returned to Miami and was accepted into the prestigious Jazz Vocal Program at the University of Miami's Frost School of Music, where she earned her Bachelor of Music degree. Her extensive training and diverse musical background have shaped her into a versatile artist, equally at home performing Pop, R&B, Jazz, Blues, Musical Theatre, Salsa, and Latin Jazz. Her songwriting blends contemporary sensibilities with the richness of her Cuban heritage and the sophistication of her jazz education, resulting in music that is both deeply personal and stylistically unique.

 

In 2019, Claudia released her debut single, *Crazy*, which she composed, arranged, and produced. The recording features internationally acclaimed Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Dr. Ed Calle. In 2021, she released her debut album, *Running Out of Time*, a poignant tribute to her late sister and cousin, Jennifer Cordero. The project showcases Claudia's ability to transform profound personal experiences into music that resonates with honesty, vulnerability, and emotional depth.

 

Throughout her career, Claudia has had the privilege of performing alongside some of the music industry's most celebrated artists. She toured with legendary singer-songwriter Gloria Estefan as part of the Miami Sound Machine, performing on internationally renowned stages including the Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar in Chile, Tenerife, Spain, and numerous venues around the world. 

 

Beyond her work as a performer, Claudia has built a multifaceted career as a producer, recording artist, session musician, arranger, vocal coach, and musical director. She is the founder of C&C Production Studio in Miami, where she collaborates with artists in recording, production, and creative development. She is also the Founder and President of Once Upon A Stage Theatre Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing accessible, professional-caliber theatre experiences and arts education to students of all ages, fostering confidence, artistry, and community through the performing arts.

 

Today, Claudia enters an exciting new chapter of her artistic journey with the release of Mirándome, the first single from her forthcoming Spanish-language album. Written, recorded, and produced by Claudia herself, Mirándome marks a heartfelt return to her Latin roots while showcasing the musical versatility and storytelling that have long defined her artistry. The single was mixed by Carlos Alvarez and mastered by Mike Fuller, and features an outstanding ensemble of musicians including Cristian Cuevas (piano and arrangements), Richard Bravo (percussion), Diego Cuta (bass), Julian Ávila (guitar), JK Escorcia (accordion), Osvaldo Fleites (trumpet), Jorge Dobal (trombone), and Sory Perez (background vocals). Whether on stage, in the studio, or in the classroom, Claudia remains devoted to creating meaningful art that celebrates culture, connection, and the transformative power of music.
